Felicia Christable Palar
WTO: Chair

Felicia Christabel is a third-year Branding Student, Faculty of Business and Economics in Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, started her MUN career since 2019 and attended several national and international conferences as delegate and chair. Her interest is concerned with economic security, social affairs and quality education as part of the human security agenda to achieve sustainable development. Despite being new in MUN, she perceives MUN as a platform that has developed herself to equip her for her studies throughout college life, and also shaped her into a better person.

Honorable delegates, she believes PMUN 2020 will be a place for you to not only demonstrate substances excellences but also excels at your diplomatic and networking skills and before meeting you in WTO, she’d like to pass on an advice: prepare the fullest, enjoy the entire process of Model UN, and remember, there is more to bring home
than just awards.

Choong Yun Ni
WTO: Co-chair

Currently studying Politics, History and International Relations (PHIR) in the University of Nottingham Malaysia, Choong Yun Ni (Winnie) took up MUN in her foundations and had since then both participated and chaired in a few councils in the UK aside from within Malaysia. She finds it absolutely fascinating how intricate, complex and yet how fragile the world may be. To her: as long as there are humans in this world, there will be human error creating waves in politics. With that, she is looking forward to what the WTO council would bring. “Bring your A-game and let’s have some fun!”

Tuck Kei Yong
UNHRC: Chair

Currently studying law as an undergraduate student at the University of Bristol, Tuck looks forward to serve as your Chair in the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Aside from prioritising diplomacy and consensus-building, Tuck strongly emphasizes delegates, especially who are beginners, to not be concerned with the overwhelming rules of procedure as he will guide each delegates step-by-step. Thus, delegates are reminded to actively participate during council debates and drafting of resolution.

Koay Yi Ting
UNHRC: C0-chair

Hello delegate. My name is Koay Yi Ting, and it is my pleasure to serve as your co-chair in the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Having recently graduated from A-levels in the midst of a global pandemic, I am likely to be soul-searching while contemplating my university options at the time of reading.

Ever since embarking on my MUN journey during Penang Model United Nations 2018, I have delegated in 5 conferences, and PMUN 2020 will mark my first chairing experience. Having been in your shoes not too long ago, I would advise beginner delegates not to feel intimidated by other delegates or the chairs, and speak up as much as possible.

See you at the conference!
